#It's the thought that counts

The next question is what you get that friend, that you care about and is important to you, but you don't have the income to buy them something big or elaborate?
I don't think that the bigger the gift the more you care about a person. I like to pay attention to what my friends say or mention, sometimes the perfect gift is something small and thoughtful that they will love, even if it didn't break the bank.

Here are some small and thoughtful gifts that will be sure to make that special friend smile on Christmas.
1. Luggage Tag: Amazon has great deals on sassy travel accessories.
2. Bracelet: Perfect amount of sparkle to complement any holiday outfit.
3. Mugs: As you can probably tell I like clever or sassy trinkets and Kate Spade is the perfect one stop shop for all things cute and sassy.
4. Gloves: As the weather drops it's important to always have some cute gloves on hand.
5. Beauty Set: Philosophy is a wonderful beauty company and this little gift set is a great introduction to their products.
6. Coin Holder: I love Michael Kors from handbags to coin holders.
7. Compact Mirror: I always feel like you never have a mirror when you most need it, this cute little piece would complement any purse.
8. Socks: Normally I would not recommend buying socks but these are to cute to pass by.

Hope this helps! Stay warm!

xoxo

#what women want

What do women want? That is a good question, I am a woman and I still don't know what I want half the time. Holidays are hard becuase when people ask me what I want, I don't want to be a burden but nor do I want them to guess what I want. I'd rather they donate money to charity in my name and all works out for the best.

However, it doesn't mean I don't like gifts, especially from a loved one or significant other. So I was racking my brain for what are good gifts for the special lady in your life, either your best friend, sister and mother.

When thinking about gifts for a friend I like to consider events, buying tickets for a nice night out with your best friend is an amazing gift. Some ideas are going and seeing the ballet, such as the Nutcracker, going out to dinner and experiencing a wonderful show. However sometimes with the hustle and bustle of this time of year it's hard to find time. So if that isn't an option then hopefully these ideas give you some inspiration.

1. J.Crew: I fall head over heels for their statement necklaces.
2. Rag & Bone Booties: I tried these one and they are perfect!
3. Zara Scarf: This pattern is very trendy this season and its quite warm and cozy as well.
4. Lo and Sons OG travel bag: In a previous post I mentioned this company and bag, and I stand by my love for this company.
5. Max & Chloe Monogram: who doesn't like monogram, especially in jewelry form?
6. Anthropologie Limited Edition Mug: These look so cute for a cup of coffee Christmas morning.
7. Anthropologie Satchel: Little bags are so convenient when you are already carrying around a big book bag.
8. Monogram Ring: Also love this monogram option!

Happy shopping everyone!

#why are men so complicated?

So Christmas is just around the corner and I am currently in the middle of finals and racking my brain trying to find appropriate gifts for my favorite people. If I were a millionaire this time of year would be less of a struggle but since I am a student on a budget, every penny matters but I still want to make sure that I get special people a gift they deserve and that will show them how much they truly mean to me.

So there are options; you can either make a DIY gift or online shop like a crazy person (like I do) on your study breaks and look for the best bang for your buck.

I love DIY ideas but  I am not that crafty or artsy so the most DIY I do is the cards. I love making my own cards. I use either Walgreens or Walmart and make picture cards, from either my favorite pictures with myself and that individual or a comic or art work that I know they would love. It also allows you to write whatever you want inside. It's personal and perfect and a great addition to any gift.

So now to the big stuff, the gift ideas. This will be a series since I have been lacking on my posting but I figured I would help people out with my gift ideas. The first post will be about gift ideas for him. These are things I am looking at and are relatively affordable but still oh so classy and perfect for that important man in your life.

1. The Coin: this is awesome, although it only officially comes out next year it is great for any guy.
2. The Slimmy: for the guy that hates the lumpy wallets.
3. J.Crew Harry's Truman Shave Kit: a great stocking stuffer.
4. Banana Republic Wool Scarf: as the temperature drops make sure his next is warm.
5. J. Crew Usb Phone Charger: I don't know about you but my phone never has enough battery.
6. HUGO Tie: A business guy can never have enough ties!
7. Topman Skinny Fit Check Sportscoat: I love a good sports coat, keeps the guy warm and looking stylish.
And don't forget your kisses, a guy can never have enough kisses from a pretty lady.

I'll see you all soon for my next gift guide.

Kisses!

#Fighting the urge

This is what I call a first world problem. I have been fighting the urge, for over 6 months now, to buy cap toed pumps. Now that the holidays are approaching and everyone is asking me what I am putting on my Christmas list, it's getting harder not to take the plunge and spoil myself. What I should be doing is saving money, helping the poor and studying, but thats no fun lol.

Granted this season is a time for giving not receiving, so I am not asking for anything from other people, but it doesn't mean that once finals are over I may not treat myself.

Why I've been fighting this urge you are thinking, becuase the area and profession I work in and will (fingers crossed) have a career in calls for the professional timeless look. The truth is I love it, I love the sophisticated chic look but that doesn't mean don't I like to break out of my comfort zone and go a little wild. Granted going a little wild for me is cap toed shoes but I am an adult, I don't have time or desire to go crazy and wear some crazy spiked shoe with a lions head on it. (I am pretty sure I saw a shoe on facebook that looked like my description, EWWW!). My co-workers were saying that I don't or shouldn't invest in trendy shoes, I normally don't listen to others regarding my style choices but since I am a student on a limited budget I need to act and purchase responsibly. (Oh how I hate responsibility)

So since I should be studying, of course I am actually looking at shoes. So I need your help, should I or shouldn't I? Here are my top picks!

Sam Edelman: I have a few pairs of his and love them all!! The Desiree pump is so beautiful, here are my two color options. The first is black and simple, barely notice its cap toed, perfect for the office:
So chic I am in love!

The second option is more colorful and I say perfect for the holidays:

Awe don't you just love!

There is also this lovely Sole Society pump by Julianne Hough, the colors are office worthy with a little bit of a twist:

This next shoe's design just drives me crazy at how sexy it would look on my feet, French Connection definitely does this style justice:

I mean seriously, how could you not just fall in love with these lovelies!

Last but not least the always chic Michael Kors, I love how patent leather always makes a black pump look sexy and elegant.

So there you have it, what do you guys think? If only I was a millionaire and could have them all in my closet...oh first world problems!

I hope everyone isn't going crazy getting ready for the holiday season! Remember what the real reason for the season is!

#Remember Remember November

It's been a while since I've done a post and I am sorry but school has been a bit more overwhelming than I had anticipated.
It is finally November, and here in California the air is crisp and the leaves are changing. You know the holidays are approaching when Starbucks breaks out their red holiday cups! I can't wait for the holidays, although they are chaotic and busy, it always means a break from school to spend time with my family. Before I start talking about Christmas (I'll leave that for a later post) I am thinking about Thanksgiving break and travels.
A good friend of mine is traveling to New York in two weeks and I couldn't be more jealous, if I had the time or money I would join in a heart beat but since that is not an option Ill sit in California and just dream of traveling. This season is high travel season, people flying home to see family or flying somewhere warm to escape the cold weather. The other night I had a dream that I was on a cruise to the Caribbean, granted it isn't that cold here yet, it was still a wonderful thought.
So what does all this travel talk have to do with travel, other than give you the itch to hop and a plane and have an adventure, well its about travel essentials. I know way to many people that do not dress comfortably on a plane or who struggle finding the perfect carry on bag.
Since I can't travel I will dream of it while sharing my favorite travel carry on bag options and attire:

First is the bag: The perfect carry on bag has to be spacious enough to carry everything you need, passport, wallet, electronics (phone, laptop, tablet), items to freshen up with, and the bag has to be comfortable, and easy to maintain. Last thing you need is a needy bag that gets dirty every time you might rub it against something or someone, I mean you are bound to touch a many number of things.

My favorite bags that I am coveting and look perfect for travel are:

Lo & Son: O.G. bag in army green
This bag is perfect, the fabric, the color, the texture, the spaciousness..just check out the website on all their bags. They are the ultimate chic travel bag, it has everything you need in a travel bag plus you still look chic and put together, PERFECTION!

There is also Longchamp the Boxford

I've loved Longchamp since I studied abroad in Spain. All the East Coast students had Longchamp book bags, they all dressed so classy with their fancy bags, I was so envious. With this bag you can be the envy of all other travelers.

Although both bags are a bit pricey (a couple hundred) it is worth investing. You need a sturdy travel bag that will last you a while and still looks nice. In order to achieve that you have to be willing to invest.

Now attire.
My mother always told me I needed to look my best when I got on a plane, even when I was headed on a 12 hour non-stop flight. No matter the distance and time, flights can be hectic, there is a lot of bumping into others, squeezing into your seat and past people. All that movement can ruin certain type of fabrics or wrinkle you. God knows I hate wrinkles and I am obsessed with having my clothes ironed at all times, meaning that traveling can be a difficult mental challenge for me. I am always on the look out for chic outfits that will not make me look like I just got out of the dryer after a flight.

So what are the best travel clothes, first is the right pants. I advice against, linen, yoga pants, silk, satin. I love cotton and spandex mixed pants, look chic and comfortable. Or the reliable jean. Once ironed, jeans unless thrown under a pile of clothes tend to stay in a nice unwrinkled shape.

For this time of year I would recommend a fancy t-shirt with a wrap sweater. You never know how hot or cold the plane with get so the t-shirt wrap combo lets you have the best of both worlds, without having ruining your hair.
Plus sassy t-shirts are a big hit now so with a nice skinny pant, sassy t-shirt and cozy wrap sweater carrying one of the above bags, you are ready for any travel challenge that may lay ahead.

Madewell has some great tees:

And this Juicy Couture wrap sweater:

Make a great combo!

I hope you all have a great time getting ready for Fall and Winter travels!! And just remember just becuase you are traveling doesn't mean you have to only care about comfort, you can have both, comfort and style!

#it's harvest time!

This past weekend I went to a U-pick apple orchard and mini pumpkin patch. I went to Clearview Organic Orchard, it was so pretty and 100% organic. It was also a relatively warm day which was out of the ordinary for a Mid-October afternoon. This place is extremely friendly, the guy who greeted us  was very informative about the history of the orchard, the process the farmers take and to top it off they have beautiful picnic tables throughout so you can bring your own lunch and have a beautiful picnic in the orchard.  Best part is that you only pay for the apples you buy, no paying for parking or for the picnic, you can save your money for the amazing honey, juices and apples!

Now I was planning for it to be a but cooler but my outfit wasn't to warm and still very weather and event appropriate.
I wore a Chambray shit, skinny army green utility pants and brown oxfords. I accessorized with a brown belt and my rose gold Michael Kors watch.
Here are similar options of my outfit choice:
Chambray shirt:
J Crew's options are always a perfect fit and shade:

I also like Gap's Options, more affordable but just as stylish

Skinny Cargo Style pants:
The ones I purchased were from Old Navy, super comfy, stylish and the price was right:

Or you can invest in these beauties from Piperlime:

And Finally the shoe options: you can either wear booties or oxfords. I love my oxfords, they are worn in and light: I got mine over 2 years ago from Nordstrom but here are similar options:
The first two are from Nordstrom:
Franco Sarto "Tevi" flat:

Miz Mooz Oxford flat:

And Lastly from DSW Shoes: Mercanti Fiorentini Oxford

These are probably my favorite and the closest to the ones I own. I love the classic oxford look, makes any outfit a bit more polished.

I hope you liked my outfit and I will talk to you all soon!

#pretty woman, do OR don't?

Pretty woman walking down the street in her knee high boots and crazy 90's hair.

Although that movie is probably one of my favorite movies of all time, I wouldn't say that I would necessarily take fashion advice from it. Granted her floppy hats and conservative outfit at the polo game and the infamous red dress for the opera are worthy of repeating the question is whether the knee highs are hookerish or worth investing in? If the answer is worth investing, then you have to ask your self, what should I wear them with, a skirt, shorts, pants? In my personal opinion knees highs should not come back. In order to get all the bang for your buck for a boot like that you have to showcase it when you wear them. Therefore wearing them under something long or over pants just doesn't give it the affect it demands. So most girls opt for wearing the knee high boots with a short skirt or shorts. So my point is that you have no choice but to wear a skimpy little skirt with the boots, which gives you a scandalous look. Call me old fashion but I like the more timeless clean looks, I don't think women need to showcase so much skin to get attention. Wit and charm should be your focal point not your mini skirt and bare legs. I am saying this becuase knee highs are especially worn during the colder months during the day. Evening outfits allow for a bit more skin however day outfits are the more elegant and professional. That is why you don't see girls walking out in the day time in a club mini dress because there is a time and place for that much skin and sexiness and it is not in the day while in the office. However, of course my opinion may be outdated or to conservative but what can I say I am a 26 year old that wants to be remembered for what I say not how much skin I show. However this is my opinion and you know I've seen some bloggers pull of the knee highs decently so without further ranting I will provide some potential knee highs if you are in the market.

I love Stuart Weitzman, his shoes are well made and decently comfortable regardless of heel size: If you are willing to make the investment here are some knee highs that you can pre-order:

A bit more affordable are these two Zara boots, the first is a high heel while the second is a low square heel made for everyday walking:

#1

#2

I have to admit that I love Boutique 9 shoes and the little details: here are probably my favorite knee-highs Ive seen yet:

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful beginning of Fall, I am excited to finally enjoy some fall festivities this weekend and I will definitely be back with info on what I wore and other fall harvest inspired attire! Thanks for reading!

#plaid is not just for lumberjacks

Plaid can be daunting, becuase the last thing you want to do is look like a lumberjack. However this fall season the trend is bring back the plaid once again! I am a little cautious about plaid shirts but I love a good plaid skirt. I saw this skirt on Atlantic Pacific from Tibi and just fell in love, the problem is that I can't find it anywhere to purchase. Therefore, I went on a the hunt for a similar piece!

Here is the shirt:

I am in love with the whole outfit and her style but cannot get over this skirt!!

Now here are some similar options I am contemplating, let me know what you think!
My first option is this sweater Plaid Skirt from Nordstrom:

Another Option from Nordstrom, that is a bit more pricey but absolutely lovely: This Elizabeth and James Pencil Skirt

Next is also a Black and White Plaid Combo, from White House Black Market, not my favorite but definitely a worthy contender.

Also this Grind Skirt

Lastly, this mini is the perfect plaid with a nice touch of color by Suno

I hope you all get the urge to go out and purchase a nice plaid piece to help complete your fall wardrobe! Until next time!

#sweaterweather

It's October and its that time of year, changing of colors, crisp evenings, pumpkin pies, orange decorations and SWEATER Galore!!!

In California, October is perfect, the weather is perfect for sweaters and maybe a light jacket in the evenings. I love grabbing a coffee in a local coffee shop and reading a new book. Apparently October is also National Book Month so it seems like October and books were a match made in heaven.
Now back to sweaters, I love the fluffy ones, the colorful ones and oversized ones. It is a perfect go to Fall outfit, some skinnies and a cute sweater on top.
I am so excited to finally wear my sweaters and buy a few more, as you will tell from the options I provide below, I am not only a fan of sweaters but also sweaters with a little bit of a funky design that can all be worn with a comfy pair of leather leggings and booties. Here are some options that I am resisting the impulse to buy:

The Oversized Sweater:
This one is from Asos, its adorable and affordable (my favorite combination!)

Another oversized option is this Two Tone Knit from Zara.

The Fluffy Sweater:

With a little embellishment, this Dorothy Perkins has the perfect amount of fluff that can be paired with a nice pencil mini and booties.

Completely out of my price range but the amount of fluff is perfection, Chloe never disappoints.

The Why Not, It looks soooo COMFY!
This Zara knit looks to comfy to pass off.

I think a sassy sweater is in order and for me this one seems perfect for the job!

Have a fabulous and sassy rest of the week!

#kick your booties

Yesterday was officially the first day of FALL, my favorite season. The pumpkin spice lattes, the crisp air, the changing colors, the brown tones, and soft light sweaters, what's not to love about it?
I was looking forward to the fall weather, there is nothing better than waking up to the sound of rain fall and being snuggled up in bed with a good book.
Although I don't get that many chances to stay in bed and read books that are not related to my school studies, I still make sure that one day a semester I take a whole day off, go to a cafe, drink a pumpkin spice latte and devour a book. I refer to it as my mental vacation, although I eventually pay for the day off, it was all worth it in the end!
[Side note, I am currently reading David Mitchell's "The Back Story", I like british comedy and this is an easy read that will for sure make you giggle]

One of my favorite things about fall are the shoes ( I love shoes!!), however I am extremely picky and on a budget. It takes me forever to find the perfect bootie or boot but when I do its love at first sight!

So I am already starting my new season bootie search (and I don't mean the body part).

Since I live in California, the cool weather doesn't actually start up until late Oct. to Nov. which gives me a little time to get my new wardrobe in order. Here are some of my booties options:

I saw these lovelies on See Jane, a blogger I love to follow and recommend others check out her blog!
Seychelles Scoundrel Black Booties

These cut out booties would be perfect for California's Fall weather and who doesn't love the beautiful gold tones!

Similar Style as the Seychelles but a bit more affordable: these Aldo Arzts

Kate Spade never disappoints, however I can't say my wallet is very fond of her :)

It was love at first sight with these Indigo by Clarks, the slight heel and the rustic brown color, I am smitten!

Oh how I'd love these Sigerson Morrison beauties!

The search for the perfect bootie gives me a rush and I am excited to start my journey into this new season!
I wish everyone a wonderful second day of Autumn!

#First Rule

Actually I am sure there are many first rules for fashion. Make sure it's tailored well, wear your size don't try to get into something way to small or way to big becuase neither will do you any favors and so on. However for those who know me know that no matter how pretty the dress or top is or how well it fits you still can ruin everything if you look wrinkled.
Yes I said it, wrinkled, Ironing is very important, I never understood how people leave the house without ironing their clothes. My iron is always ready to go when I am getting dressed. Granted I may like to iron more than the average person but you have to admit it's important.
My friends laugh at me becuase sometimes I save up my ironing for one evening, where I put on a movie and iron the whole time. It is really relaxing and it gives me quality me time. Plus my closet is mostly ironed, which will save me time in the morning.

My point is that you can have on a wonderful skirt and top combo but if you are all wrinkled, you may have ruined your outfit. Especially when it comes to dress shirts on guys, please iron your shirts and your khaki pants! All men should learn to iron and all people should invest in a good iron. You can find some great irons for under $100 that will last a long time.

But the point of my post is not only that you need to iron but that you need to keep your iron clean so that you don't burn your clothes or leave rust marks. If you keep your iron clean ironing is more enjoyable.

So yesterday instead of doing my reading I decided that I needed to clean my iron, meaning that I will have a ironing day coming up soon!

My iron is very special to me, its a Rowentta, this one to be exact, and lets say that it is wonderful. My mother bought it for me last year as a start of the new school year gift. However irons get dirty, especially when your little sister uses it, doesn't change the fabric settings and burns her blouse. I felt bad for her blouse but the fabric basically melted on to my iron. That is difficult to remove and makes it easier for the iron to stick to other clothing.

So I desperately needed to clean it. There are solutions you can buy but I think the natural way is a lot better. The two ways that I have used and work best for me are the following:

My favorite and I think most effective:
1. Get a wash cloth, one that has ridges, and semi tough (do not use anything with wire in it becuase it will cause scratches in the iron's sole plate and ruin it)
2. While the cloth is laid out get salt (sea salt works best) and make a nice little pile in the middle of the wash cloth.
3. Plug in the iron, put it on the highest heat setting and turn off the steam setting.
4. Once the iron is nice and hot, start ironing over the salt pile, up and down the cloth. Do this for a few minutes and add a little more salt if you want.
5. After a minute you will see the grime come off onto the cloth. Repeat the ironing over the salt until everything is off.
6. It took me about 10 minutes to get the burned fabric off but now my iron is squeaky clean!

The Second Option:
1. Make sure the iron is turned off and cool.
2. Boil equal parts vinegar and salt.
3. Once the salt has dissolved, take the vinegar and salt off the stove top.
(I would use gloves so that your hands don't smell like sour vinegar for the rest of the day)
4. Wait for the solution to be warm, not boiling hot so you don't burn yourself.
5. With a tough cloth (not wire!), dip it in the solution and start rubbing the sole of the iron.
6. Repeat Step 6 until the iron is clean!

After either cleaning process, with the iron cooled and turned off, I'd use a clean and damp cloth to wipe off any excess vinegar and salt. Now you can use your iron with ease!! Let me know if you have any other cleaning suggestions and how these options work for you!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week!!

#Backstreets Back...ALRIGHT

So one of the greatest things happened this weekend. My best friend and I went and saw Backstreet Boys live in concert!!! As a little girl, when I listened to their tape on my boombox, I only dreamed of the day I would see them in concert. They were my favorite imaginary boyfriends, every male doll was either Brian, AJ or Nick (my favorites) and I knew every word to every song. I was one obsessed little girl but considering I was 7-8 in 1995 when they first hit big, there was no way that my parents would let me go see them in concert, or afford it for that matter.

But after almost 20 years of waiting...yes unbelievably its been 20 years, I finally saw my imaginary boyfriends perform. And let me tell you they were AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, LEGENDARY, UTTERLY UNBELIEVABLE my childhood dream became a reality!!

So how does this relate to fashion you ask, well thats a good question. For the concert, my best-friend [who has an amazing teaching blog that you should definitely check out!] and I decided that we would dress for the occasion, meaning time travel back to the 90's. So we hit the local goodwill and we found some amazing printed spandex and a high-waisted denim skirt. However we needed more for our outfits ideas. So we looked up 90's fashion, the crop tops, high-waisted jeans, the denim shirts, the hats, scrunchies and floral motif.

After my research I realized what great timing the concert had with fashion, becuase just as the Backstreet Boys were coming back so was the 90's fashion. Such as the post I did about floral motifs and now even the crop tops and denim skirts are popping up everywhere. There was no use for us to go to the goodwill becuase the moment we entered Forever21 we were transported back in time.

Remember Saved by the bell?
Kelly Kapowski was the hot chick on campus
Now the floral blazer, pants and dress are almost exactly what you would find in stores today.
For example, this floral blazer from Zara

Also, remember Clueless? Of course you do, Alicia Silverstone was miss Beverly Hills, what girl didn't want to be her?
These girls knew how to pull of the plaid look and work it, I know that I wanted one when I was little and luckily now plaid is coming back in the most fashionable ways.
And this unbelievably adorable dress from alice+olivia

Like these pants from Zara

And lastly, the crop top with the high-waisted shorts: These are everywhere now:
American Apparel and Forever21 have such a large selection of crop tops that it's not a question of whether you should get one but how many and what colors or styles?

So there you go a little blast from the past. I loved the 90's, granted I am a bit biased but you have to admit, the cartoons and the music was so much better!

I hope you all listen to the new Backstreet Boys album, there are just as talented live as they are on the cd. They were definitely from the era when some musical talent was necessary unlike all the auto tone bs we have now.

I hope everyone has a great Monday and week!!!

#Venting about vents

So School has already started kicking my butt so please forgive me for my MIA status. But my goal is to be more devoted to my blog and share all the fashion information that I am learning.

As I shared in previous postings I love men fashion, I love shopping for men's clothing, in my mind they are my own life size Ken doll. As a little girl, I mainly had barbie dolls and maybe one male doll. My parents did not a lot of money, or a disposable income for unnecessary toys, meaning that although my mom always got me barbie dolls from the second hand stores or garage sales, I never had a lot of clothes or a lot of the Ken dolls. As a result, every time I got to go through my grandma's old clothing I would make clothing for my dolls.  So now as an adult, since I never really got a hang of sewing or making my own clothes I am blessed to live in America and have the money and opportunity to shop among the multitude of stores and countless options that this great country offers.

My point is that men's fashion is just as particular as women's clothing and every detail is significant.
One detail that I will admit I have even over looked many times is vents on men's suits.
Some men refer to them as the openings on the back of the suit coat, and don't think twice before buying the suit if those vents have a purpose or add anything to the fit, style and purpose of the suit. Well men, I am here to burst your bubble, those vents are very important and have a very good purpose.

Vents come in three options: One, Two, or None: Each having a particular style and purpose.

One Vent:
When there is only one vent, it is always placed in the middle as seen below:
One vent in the center is the more American Business style and more modern. This style and fit works best with the slimmer figure. It doesn't allow for much mobility and can create a wrinkle in the back of the suit. Unlike the other vent styles, this one does not particularly accent the figure but does tend to have a tighter fit. This being send, men that tend to be on the heavier side, or have a larger mid-section should probably not invest in the center vent. It will only accent the mid section and if that is not your goal then the center vent is not the style for you.
More modern American suits tend to carry more of this style such as Theory and Sak's Red brand.

Two Vents:

The two vent suit style dates back to the British tradition, the two vent style allows for the most mobility and flexibility. It was traditionally from the equestrian heritage, meaning the flap that it creates allowed for men that went horseback to sit comfortably on horseback without rumpling your suit. The two vent is the best style to avoid creating that odd wrinkle on the back of the suit jacket when sitting. The style works for all body types but it is extremely kind to the rounder figure. The two vent style creates a nice figure and allows for room to grow, by creating a bit of free space between the shirt and jacket, just incase you have a larger lunch one day. Therefore, becuase it is the more traditional suit, most designers and brands carry the two vent style.

No Vent:
The no vent style as pictured above it the least common. It is the more restrictive of the three styles. The no vent is, in my opinion, to be worn by men with a slim figure. The no vent style does no favors for the rounder figure, if the fit is not correct it bunches up around the middle and only accents the belly. It allows for very little mobility and can easily create an odd wrinkle on the back of the suit. Don't get me wrong it's also a great style but unlike the other two styles, this one is not as universal. It is the most common among old Hollywood style films becuase no vent suits are the most photogenic. The clean and sleek look that the jacket creates is more formal, hence why tuxedos have no vents. Therefore, wear with caution.

So there you have it, who thought those little openings on the suit jacket were so important. Since most men buy suits to last, suits can be timeless therefore it is important to know how and what to buy.

Until next time!
Kisses!
